Cheemunga nuclear plant
Revenge motivates a kamikaze pilot who was taken prisoner of war during World War II by St. John's father on NBC Universal's "AIRWOLF II" episode entitled "Ground Zero." The story was written by Michael Mercer and directed by Alan Simmonds.

Takeshi Yahara, a Japanese businessman, retains St. John Hawke as a pilot. Unfortunately, St. John and Mike are sent by the Pentagon on a special mission and Jo offers to fly Mr. Yahara. He forces her at gunpoint to fly into restricted airspace over the Cheemunga nuclear generating plant, and when they depart - he takes her as prisoner. St. John meets Mr. Yahara at his business and is shown a photo from World War II which contains the image of Lieutenant Allan Hawke, St. John's father. Yahara forces St. John at gunpoint into captivity. Mike and Jason discover that Yahara was a kamikaze pilot who ended up a prisoner of war, and that St. John's father was the pilot who put him in the ocean. They are informed that Yahara is a shamed man for failing in his mission. Yahara takes Jason and Mike at gunpoint and informs them that St. John will be killed as he leaves to destroy the nuclear plant. St. John, however, escapes execution and takes off in Airwolf to stop Yahara. St. John is forced into a firefight which could destroy Airwolf - but instead St. John successfully flies through the fireball that was Yahara.
