A set-up backfires causing St. John Hawke and Airwolf to stop a spy from escaping with vital secrets and Mike as hostage on NBC Universal's "AIRWOLF II" episode entitled "Rogue Warrior." The story was written by R. B. Carney and directed by Brad Turner.

After a difficult operation, St. John loses his composure, quarrels with Locke, gets into a bar fight and finally is taken before the Company brass and suspended from duty. Unrepentant, he continues drinking and moves in with a girl he met in a club. When Mike comes after him and tries to straighten him out, St. John starts a fight and Mike is killed... or so it seems to the 'mole' or spy within the company they are trying to bring out with this ingenious, dangerous set-up. In the end the script misfires, the mole springs a nasty surprise and only the power of Airwolf can stop him escaping with vital secrets - and Mike as his hostage.
