An enemy agent planning to receive a computer circuit board capable of sabotaging a United States missile launch is monitored by the Airwolf team.
With the launch of a strategic defense satellite imminent, the agents closely track the handsome operative, believing that he will contact a courier for the tiny part which can impede the effectiveness of the satellite.
The boredom is shattered after several tension-filled hours by an apartment building fire and evidence of an exchange, which sets off a frantic search for the device.
