ADVERTISEMENTS
Jo is held prisoner in a Bulgarian prison camp when her airliner is forced down behind the Iron Curtain on NBC Universal's "AIRWOLF II" episode entitled "Escape." The story was written by Patrick Kennedy and directed by Patrick Corbett.

Jo, returning from an Intelligence mission and carrying a micro-dot, is arrested as a spy when her airliner is forced down behind the Iron Curtain and thrown into a Bulgarian prison camp. She befriends a Soviet girl gymnast who tried to defect to America, and together they fight to survive the daily hell of Gulag—type detention, outwitting cunning interrogators, treacherous informers and sadistic guards. Airwolf runs the massive gauntlet of ground and air defenses, battling to reach the girls before they are sentenced to face a firing squad.
