Hawke, Dominic and Caitlin take on the illegal mission of breaking a friend's son out of jail on NBC Universal’s "AIRWOLF" episode entitled “Break-In at Santa Paula." The episode was written by Edward J. Lakso and directed by D. Donnelly.
Hawke is approached by Eleanor, the wife of his close friend now deceased, to help free her son, Terry, who is in a jail in Santa Paula.
Terry was framed so that the people could use Eleanor's import business to traffic drugs. She refused yet fears for Terry's life.
Dominic, Hawke, Caitlin and Eleanor check out the prison which is tight on security.
Hawke arranges with Terry to be in the exercise yard and he will pick him up with Airwolf.
When they fly into the yard, Terry is not alone but has Gentry, an ill friend with him.
Airwolf is deluged by the prisoners and Hawke is caught by Mendez, a vicious guard forcing Dominic to abort the mission.
The next day Dominic and Caitlin dressed in priest and nun clothing visit the prison and set up another escape plan.
Terry and Gentry slowly regain Hawke's trust and the plan goes into effect.
Hawke electrifies the fence which stuns a guard enabling Hawke to confiscate the keys.
Hawke, Terry and Gentry jump into the prison truck and make a run for the gate while Airwolf diverts the guards by bombing the fence. They manage to escape to freedom.
