Stringfellow Hawke sets out to free several kidnapping victims, with Dominic and Caitlin among them in NBC Universal’s "AIRWOLF" episode entitled "The Deadly Circle." The segment was written by Robert Specht and directed by Harvey Laidman.
A wave of mysterious kidnappings sweeps through the homes of three of Hawke's friends he fought with in Vietnam. Oshiro, Kovac and Miller share a long-time friendship with Hawke, dating back to their combat service.
One after the other, the families vanish as they are abducted by Vietnamese sponsors and former inhabitants of a small village which had been tragically hit by a raid, claiming the lives of many of their own family members.
Archangel asks Hawke for the only help he can provide, trying to remember a common experience that could explain these events. Back in the wooden shacks where the prisoners are held captive, Dominic and Caitlin try to free all of them with disastrous results, and as Caitlin realizes that none of their kidnappers worry about keeping their identities a secret, the seriousness of their situation begins to sink in. Meantime, Hawke is able to pinpoint that day in his memory, and with Archangel's help they understand that the raided Vietnamese village had been destroyed due to one false intelligence report. Neither Hawke nor his friends had been a part of it.
Aboard his super chopper Airwolf, Hawke flies to the rescue of innocent people who were about to become the victims of a similar attack.
