Stringfellow Hawke falls into the hands of Soviet searchers in NBC Universal’s "AIRWOLF" episode entitled "Crossover." The segment was directed by Don Medford from a script by Elliot West.

Stringfellow Hawke's mission is to meet two Czech scientists somewhere on the Baja California peninsula and aid them to get into the hands of U.S. authorities. Victor Janek and his daughter Inge are the top Czech scientists in their field, laser miniaturization. With Hawke's help, they plan to find freedom from Soviet agents who are aware of the military uses this specialty implies. Hawke's worries become reality when they are ambushed by the ruthless K.G.B. agent Shrankov and his men. Claiming the life of Victor Janek by a fatal gunshot wound, Hawke and Inge find shelter in a cave and are saved by Dominic and Caitlin who had relentlessly been searching for them. Back in safety, Inge must decide what her next step will be, now that her father is dead. Caught in great inner turmoil, she decides to accept the invitation of an old family friend, a man named Garrett Colson who, unbeknownst to her, is not as trustworthy as Inge thinks. Hawke must plan yet another rescue mission to save the young woman’s life.
