Hawke and a lady reporter are held prisoners by terrorists who use a religious group's settlement to hide their dam bombing activities on NBC Universal’s "AIRWOLF" episode entitled "Dambreakers." This segment was directed by Virgil Vogel and was written by Westbrook Claridge, Alfonse M. Ruggiero, Jr. and Douglas Steinberg.
Kelly Dayton's TV station has received a letter inviting a reporter to the little valley where Sara Longwood, her family and other religious sect members live.
Hawke reluctantly agrees to fly Kelly to her assignment.
Unknown to them, terrorists have commandeered the sect's village and farmlands, and have been holding them in fear of their lives for the past year.
When Kelly and Hawke become suspicious and discover not only semi-trailer trucks but also a World War II bomber, equipped with air-to-air missiles and a skip bomb, they instantly know they are dealing with terrorists.
The huge one-year old dam just above the little village, the nation's greatest hydroelectric project -- is the target.
And Hawke remembers a similar act of terrorism back East just about a year ago.
When Dominic and Caitlin are not contacted by Hawke at an agreed upon time, they spring into action with Airwolf.
The powerful chopper arrives just in time to prevent the terrorists' savage plan to destroy the hydroelectric project and the loss of lives.
